Mike Joyce

Mike's first band was a punk outfit called The Hoax, they played a
handful of gigs in and around Manchester in '79-'80 and released a
7"single "Only The Blind Can See In The Dark" and a 12" single
"So What". Mike then went on to play with Irish band,"Victim" in
'80-'81.

Mike joined The Smiths in 1982 and stayed with them until their
demise in 1987.

Mike then toured the world with Sinead O'Connor with Andy Rourke
on Bass.

In late '88 and early '89 Mike played on two hit singles with Morrissey
as a solo artist "The Last Of The Famous International Playboys"
and "Interesting Drug"

In 1990-1991 Mike toured the world and recorded a single with his
punk heroes "Buzzcocks"

1992 saw Mike playing with another of his heroes, the mighty
"Julian Cope"

A British and American tour with "Public Image Limited" followed
in 1993, allowing Mike to meet and play with "John Lydon" and team
up with ex-"Magazine"/"Souxsie And The Banshees" guitarist and all
round good guy, "John McGeoch"

In 1995 Mike collaborated on a track with Soul Diva and beautiful
person "P.P.Arnold"

1996 through to 1998 Mike played and recorded with Liverpool's
Pete Wylie from "The Mighty Wah!" aka "Wah! Heat"

In 1998 Mike was invited by "Aziz" to play on his album with
Andy Rourke. Mike is still playing with Aziz. Check out his website:

2001 saw Mike and Andy teaming up with Paul "Bonehead" Athurs of
Oasis fame in a band of his called "Moondog one"
